About: INTC Health, Beauty, and Wellness
As you may have realized, I am a woman who wears many hats. One of those hats is: Pilates and Yoga Instructor. That's right, I have been an instructor since 2012 with over 1500 hours of comprehensive Pilates training through Power Pilates, and a 200 hour training in Yoga. I have taught people of all ages and backgrounds, from accountants to NFL players, and everything in between. I am constantly fascinated by the capability of the human body, and I am passionate about the healing powers of movement. After having my son, Oscar, who lives with a myriad of health conditions and is very restricted in his mobility, I've seen how similar his goals in Physical Therapy are to the goals I had for my clients. I've seen how movement, no matter how big or small, is essential to our overall health.
As a mom to a child with special needs, I've learned the importance of taking care of myself, especially when things get tough. Unexpected hospital stays means no kitchen, no gym, and little accessibility to healthy food. It's very tempting to go straight for greasy comfort food -- but it's also the time when you have to make very important decisions on very little sleep, and eating right and moving your body are the only things you can control -- and they play a huge role in the brain chemistry that will affect your decision making.
My goal is to help others find a passion for movement, healthy eating, and an overall balanced lifestyle no matter their age, size, ability, schedule, or budget. I hope you get lots of ideas and inspiration from the INTC Health, Beauty, and Wellness blog.
